Niels Meulman, a street artist from Amsterdam who goes by “Shoe”, demonstrates his new method of “Calligrafitti”. He uses a pushbroom instead of a pen, and rooftops and walls instead of paper, and the final product is definitely something original.
73 Letterpress, a daily letterpress project by Ian Coyle
I love typography, chalk drawings, and time lapse videos. Maybe you do too.
Photos from the opening night of “New York Writes Itself Presents: New York Types”, a typography project that takes real, overheard NYC conversations and turns them into letterpress works of art. The exhibit is up at Art Directors Club through January 5th, with many of the works on sale. Can’t wait to get over there and check it out.
New York Types is a letterpress show opening Thursday December 15th and running through January 5th. Type artists created limited edition posters of phrases overheard on the BK/NYC streets (this is my personal favorite). It all looks incredible. RSVP for opening night here, and celebrate the total craziness that is New York City.
