For a lot of city-dwellers, some outdoor adventure time is hard to come by. So in celebration of Obscura Day, April 28th (it’s a real thing: a day to celebrate weird places) Bivouac New York will be hosting a workshop on “alternative living spaces” in Williamsburg, followed by a sleepover in some roof-top tents. They began their business creating beautiful hand-crafted axes to “inspire people to reconnect with their hands, craft, and nature.” After gaining recognition for their well-crafted product, they began to expand and are now selling cloth goods, and a wide range of products (including pure maple syrup!).
