Horse Feathers, a beautiful Portland folk group, is set to release their fourth record, Cynic’s New Year , this week. To celebrate the release, they’ve recorded some cool covers for Aquarium Drunkard. Here’s the band playing a super-sparse arrangement of Springsteen’s “Used Cars” off Nebraska, an album that Horse Feathers has cited as an inspiration for their sound. They’ve got excellent taste. 

Is it just me, or is Bruce Springsteen starting to sound a little like Tom Waits in his old age? Either way, I like it. Here’s a new tune titled “Easy Money” off the Boss’s upcoming album Wrecking Ball.
