Does it count as cheating if I’m only drooling looking? Don’t tell my current ride, but these Fuji Feathers look so damn clean.

This weekend I’m having one of those great problems where there is literally just too much going on. I’ll be at the Great Googa Mooga all weekend, but on Saturday morning, if you’re free head down to the Brooklyn Bike Jumble in Park Slope! It’s essentially a giant bike flea market, with new and vintage bikes, parts, and gear. Plus, half the fun is checking out everyone else’s rides. I went last year and had a blast.
We asked for it and here they are: the new bike share locations for 2012!
The very first Women’s Prestige was held recently in San Francisco, and it was a huge success. Covering 116 miles of beautiful California terrain, this is the first time a race of this kind was held for women. Hope it becomes an annual thing, this footage is amazing!

Check out my pics from the New Amsterdam Bike Show today! Especially the insane Octopus Bike by BK-based Horse Cycles…insane.
The Invisible Helmet by Swedish designer Hövding is worn as a collar, inflates on impact, looks pretty absurd but may save your life.
Goin for a ride
SleekSpeak: colorful wireless speakers for your bike. Connect the speakers via bluetooth to your iPod or phone, and listen to music safely while you ride.

The New Amsterdam Bicycle Show is coming up this weekend, and you should grab tickets while you can! The show will feature:
It’s taking place at Skylight Soho this Saturday and Sunday, and should be great. Tickets are only $15, but you can get 10% off by entering code NABKLB. See you there!
Winter Rider gives viewers as a peek into the culture of East Coast winter surfing, specifically here in NYC/BK. Shot on a LomoKino camera, this short film follows one super brave lady from her BK apt, on a 15 mile bike ride (with surfboard) out to Rockaway Beach on an 18 degree winter’s day to catch some waves.
